Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Year: 2023

Project Overview:

World Vision International is a global organization dedicated to child protection and development. In Cambodia, the organization focuses on improving child safety and well-being within educational settings. For this initiative, World Vision International sought to create an educational video series to enhance awareness and understanding of child protection measures in schools. Mangrove Studio was selected to produce a series of animated videos aimed at educating students, teachers, and school staff on best practices and safety protocols.

Objective and Scope of the Service:

The objective was to develop a comprehensive educational series consisting of nine animated episodes. Each episode was designed to address various aspects of child protection within schools, providing practical information and guidance. The series aimed to:

  1. Educate: Raise awareness about child protection issues and provide clear, actionable information on safeguarding practices.
  2. Engage: Use engaging animation to capture the attention of students, teachers, and school staff.
  3. Empower: Equip viewers with the knowledge and skills needed to create a safer school environment for children.
Our Solution:

Mangrove Studio undertook the full animation production process, including concept development, scriptwriting, animation, and post-production. Here’s how we approached the project:

  • Pre-Production: We collaborated with World Vision International to identify key topics and objectives for each episode. We developed detailed storyboards and scripts that aligned with the educational goals and messages of the series.

  • Animation Production: Our team created engaging and visually appealing animations that communicated complex concepts in an accessible and understandable manner. Each episode featured characters, scenarios, and visual elements designed to resonate with the target audience.

  • Post-Production: We integrated voiceovers, sound effects, and background music to enhance the overall viewing experience. The animations were reviewed and refined to ensure they effectively conveyed the intended messages and educational content.

  • Distribution Strategy: The completed episodes were prepared for distribution through various channels, including online platforms, educational workshops, and community screenings. We worked with World Vision International to ensure the videos reached the intended audience and had the desired impact.

Results:

The animated series successfully met its objectives, providing valuable educational content on child protection in schools. The engaging format helped to effectively communicate important information and foster a greater understanding of safety practices among students, teachers, and school staff. Feedback from viewers indicated that the videos were informative, accessible, and impactful.

Conclusion:

Mangrove Studio is honored to have contributed to World Vision International’s “Child Protection in Schools” initiative by delivering a series of high-quality animated videos. Our expertise in animation and commitment to educational excellence have enabled us to create a valuable resource that supports child protection efforts and promotes safer educational environments in Cambodia.
