Promoting Decent Work Conditions for Plantation Workers in Cambodia

Client: WeWorld Cambodia
Partners: ADHOC, LSCW
Location: 5 Target Provinces
Timeline: 2025–2026 (Ongoing until August 2026)

The Challenge

Across Cambodia’s rubber and banana plantations, thousands of workers continue to face low wages, unsafe working environments, and limited access to social protection. Many are informally employed, lacking awareness of their rights or the means to advocate for safer, fairer conditions.

WeWorld, in partnership with ADHOC and LSCW, launched a public campaign aimed at raising awareness and driving dialogue around labor rights and decent working conditions in the sector.

Our Role

Mangrove Studio was selected as the lead communications agency to design and implement a national public awareness campaign under the project.

We were tasked with translating legal frameworks into practical, relatable, and creative content that resonates with plantation workers, employers, and the general public.

What We’re Learning

This project reinforces that human-centered messaging is key. When rights-based content is delivered through relatable visuals, simple language, and authentic voices, it becomes powerful—not only informative but also motivational.
