PCAsia Graphic Design Training Program: Elevating Design Skills for a Harmonious ASEAN

Program Goals:
The graphic design training program aimed to:

  • Enhance participants’ proficiency in graphic design.
  • Elevate the quality of their work.
  • Stimulate applied creativity.
  • Deepen their understanding of effective communication through design.

Challenges:
Conducting the training at the Senate, House of the Parliament of Cambodia presented the challenge of creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment within a traditional setting.

Outcome Goals:
By the end of the training, participants were expected to achieve:

  • A thorough understanding of graphic design principles and elements.
  • The ability to apply appropriate tools and techniques to boost creativity.
  • Knowledge of graphic standards and their effective use.
  • Skills to condense and present information effectively through infographics.

Assignment:
Participants, consisting of parliamentary staff, engaged in projects such as creating a mini branding guideline, infographics, and social media posters.

Results:
The training program was a notable success, significantly enhancing participants’ graphic design skills. They effectively applied their new knowledge to produce high-quality materials that were both informative and visually engaging.

Conclusion:
The graphic design training program provided immense value to participants by highlighting the importance of graphic design in their professional roles. The program successfully equipped them with the skills needed to produce compelling design work, contributing to their overall proficiency and effectiveness in communication.
